Come join Dr. Malaika (pronounced Ma Like Ahh) on this journey as an African Princess as she shares an enriching African experiential journey of challenges, obstacles, triumph, connecting with our global humanity and sharing kindness. Learn about the past and present day aspects and practices of an African kingdom through this cultural enrichment journey.
Speaker Bio
Dr. Malaika, an indigene of the Nupe kingdom of Africa completed her education at Columbia University, research fellowship at Harvard University, and served as a senior consultant for the United Nations in the Middle East. Education is not readily accessible for young females in her village and young males have to travel very far for a basic education. She is currently self-funding the building of the first innovation center along with infrastructures such as internet, solar power, and better water access in parts of Nupe Kingdom for education and innovation enrichment access for all. Based on her interdisciplinary background and expertise, the vision for the Innovation center highlights interdisciplinary innovation for Leadership, Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Public Health (L-STEAHM). The innovation center and these projects are for the benefit of all ages (from youth through elderly). These and many other projects she is self-funding are for a promising future for the next generation. Her savings and speaking engagements help to support these humanitarian projects as a sacrificial labor of love.
